Rosen Group, a global supplier of pipeline integrity management technology, has won the contract to carry out in-line pipeline inspections across Malaysia for the next five years.

Malaysian subsidiary Rosen Engineering will carry out the work for Petronas and Petroleum Arrangement Contractor (PACs). The Pan Malaysia In-Line Inspection (ILI) contract will see Rosen inspect approximately 200 pipelines with diameters ranging from 4–48” (10-122 cm). The contract covers nationwide and cross-country pipelines with Thailand and Singapore.

Rosen will use magnetic flux leakage (MLF) and ultrasonic testing (UT) for the inspections in the main, although other technologies will be used if necessary.

‘Rosen always be a good partner with Petronas and all PACs supporting their pipeline integrity management system. With our experience working together for almost 30 years, I believed we can achieve the objective of Pan Malaysia ILI, to ensure such assets continue to be operated safely under current and future demands,’ says Rosen business execution manager, Mazlan Md. Ramly.
