German project developer Conjuncta has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mauritania, Egypt’s energy provider Infinity and the United Arab Emirates’ Masdar for a $34 billion (€32 billion) green hydrogen project. The project will have a production capacity of up to 8 million tonnes of green hydrogen or other hydrogen-based end products annually, with an electrolyser capacity of up to 10 gigawatts, the company said in a joint statement with the firms involved and the Mauritanian government.

Japan’s Eneos buys Chevron’s Asian oil assets
Japanese refiner Eneos Holdings has agreed to buy CHevron’s 50% stake in Singapore Refining Company (SRC), among other assets in Southeast Asia and Australia for nearly $2.2 billion (€1.8 billion).
