El Musel LNG Terminal receives its first commercial ship

Tank terminal across the seaEnagas LNG terminal, El Musel, Gijón, Spain has announced it has received the its first commercial ship, Gaslog Warsaw, after successfully completing the unloading of the first two LNG gas tankers required for the commissioning of the terminal.

The commissioning of El Musel is a milestone for the start of commercial operations of the terminal, which is part of the Government’s More Energy Security Plan, and will strengthen the security of energy supply in Europe.

The Gijón terminal could contribute up to 8 billion m3 of LNG capacity per year to Europe’s security of energy supply.
