The Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) has broken ground for two critical infrastructure projects at the Product Storage Terminal (PST) on Bushrod Island, Liberia. This will include the construction of a new gasoline storage tank, with a 17,000 m3 in storage capacity.

Once completed, the storage tank will enhance LPRC’s total storage capacity, making it around 64,000 metric tonnes. This enlargement is expected to play a crucial role in stabilising the petroleum market, stopping supply disruptions, and raising revenue.

In addition to the larger storage capacity, the project will also see the construction of a modern petroleum testing laboratory. This location will be crucial for ensuring the quality and safety of petroleum products in Liberia.
