Olleco have announced on LinkedIn that it has opened a new used cooking oil processing plant in Liverpool, UK.

The used cooking oil that the company collect will be refined in this new plant, and then sent through a pipe to its biofuel plant. The biodiesel produced delivers an 89% carbon saving compared to fossil diesel, this will then be used in the forecourts and in transport fleets. The new plant is a great improvement to this process and will help us continue to make our customers more sustainable.

Built from the ground up with bespoke, state-of-the-art equipment, this plant took a committed team 18 months to complete.

Olleco adds: ‘Thank you to the team at Liverpool who worked as part of and alongside this project for their hard work, dedication and creativity to bring this vision to life. We would also like to extend our thanks to our partners and suppliers for their ongoing support.’
