Tank Explosion in Barcelona Port

Barcelona Port authorities have reported that one person has died and one person was injured on Tuesday morning after an explosion occurred, reports Catalan News. The fire has since been put out.

UPDATE: Tepsa’s Barcelona terminal is now operating as normal. Tepsa has shared a statement on LinkedIn following the tank explosion in Barcelona Port. The company says:’ Immediately after the event, investigations began to determine the factors that led to this tragedy. We would like to announce that today, January 22nd, the Barcelona terminal is operating as normal. We wish to acknowledge the impeccable work of all the security and emergency forces, our neighbouring companies, and the support and collaboration of the authorities concerned. We express our deepest regret for the consequences of this sad event and we would like to convey our full support and offer our condolences to those affected by the incident.’
