Porthos plans to transport carbon and store it in empty gas fields under the Dutch North Sea, explains Nico de Meester, external relations manager at Porthos. The Netherlands has clear climate objectives: the emission of greenhouse gases must be reduced by at least 55% in 2030 compared with 1990. In 2050, the Netherlands aims to be climate neutral.
