Argent LNG has selected CB&I as preferred engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) partner for three full-containment LNG storage tanks, with both parties signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU establishes a framework to advance EPC planning and negotiate a lump-sum turnkey EPC agreement for the tanks, also offering the initiation of front-end engineering design and early work activities. The tanks, each with a capacity of 200,000m3, will be situated at Argent LNG’s 25 million tonnes a year LNG export terminal in Port Fourchon, LA, US. Construction on the site is planned to begin in December 2027, with the first LNG production beginning Q3 2030.
