MT Group has been awarded a major construction contract by Cobra IS/Sener consortium, focusing on implementing Balance of Plant infrastructure at German LNG Terminal. The aim of the project is to enable the reliable import of LNG to Germany and surrounding European markets, with a future aim of supplying green LNG and hydrogen derivatives.
The terminal, developed by German LNG Terminal GmbH and delivered by Cobra IS, is scheduled for completion in 2027 and will have an initial regasification of up to 10 billion m3 of natural gas per year. The site also includes two 165,000m3 LNG storage tanks.
