The clock is ticking for industry professionals to
submit their nominations for the 8th edition of the Global Tank Storage Awards, set to take place in Rotterdam on 10 March 2025. As the deadline is fast approaching on 24 January 2025, Tank Storage Magazine urges potential nominees to act swiftly to be part of this prestigious event, which coincides with the 20th anniversary celebrations of both StocExpo and Tank Storage Magazine.
This year's gala dinner, following a record number of entries and a sold-out event last year, promises to be an exceptional occasion, showcasing the industry's commitment to excellence in safety, innovation, and overall storage. The awards are judged by a panel of independent, international experts, including new judges for 2025 such as Meredith Wilson from Buckeye Partners, Marco Fumagalli at Shell, Wilma Kelly at Certas Energy, Nancy De Groof from Advario, Karine Huysmans from LBC Tank Terminals, Gerard Lafite at Tespa, and Frans Jan Hellenthal from VTTI Terminal.
The Global Tank Storage Awards are an unparalleled opportunity for individuals and companies to be recognised for their outstanding contributions to the tank storage industry. Previous winners, like LBC Lillo and Exolum, have expressed how the awards have motivated their teams and acknowledged their hard work.
In celebration of the 20th edition of StocExpo and Tank Storage Magazine's 20th year, the awards will feature two brand-new entry types, including categories voted on by the public. The
Best in Class Awards will honour top providers in tank roofing, fire protection, tank construction, vapour recovery, and pump/valve specialisation. Additionally, the
Customer Service Award will recognise the facility or supplier with the most efficient operations and customer service. The
Editor’s Choice Award, exclusive to 2025, will commend a project with exceptional safety, ESG, or innovation credentials.
Nominations are open across a wide array of categories, including:
- Technology Supplier Awards (Emerging Technology, Drones & Robotics Solution, Industry Game-Changer, Safety Technology, Digital Transformation Solution, Environmental Performance)
- Infrastructure Awards (Ammonia Infrastructure Project of the Year, Terminal of the Future, Best Overall Logistics Provider, Excellence in Health & Safety)
- Individual Awards (Outstanding Achievement Award, Rising Star Award, DEI Scheme)
Margaret Dunn, Portfolio Director, is thrilled about the new awards and the spotlight they will cast on the industry's best, celebrating the remarkable achievements and innovations that propel the sector forward.
