J T Grup has the green light to build a new terminal for petroleum products in Port Tișovita, Orșova, Romania, after obtaining a building permit. The project includes the construction of a terminal with four aboveground storage tanks for liquid fuels, as well as the facilities needed for its operation.
The company also successfully completed technological tests at its Constanta, Romania, site, meaning operating company developed J T Terminal Constanta can increase the site’s petroleum storage and operating capacities. The investment in the tests amounted to L50 million (€9.5 million)
In its press release to the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, J T Grup Oil says: ‘Through the development of the terminal in Constanta and the one in the Orsova area, the company aims to create an integrated logistics platform, capable of efficiently serving the markets of Central and Eastern Europe, namely Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Austria and Ukraine, capitalising on both the access to the Black Sea and the advantages of the Danube river corridor. These investments are part of the Group’s long-term development strategy, with the objective of expanding operational capacities, diversifying logistics services and consolidating J T Grup Oil’s position as a regional infrastructure operator for petroleum products.’
