Now in its sixth edition, this leading publication continues to serve as a valuable resource for the industry, providing useful insights and data on terminals, process safety, occupational health and safety as well as on the sector’s contribution to the UK economy. The 2021 Review is undoubtedly published against a uniquely challenging background compared to previous editions. As with other segments of the economy, bulk liquid storage has also felt the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. That said, the industry and associated logistics have continued to work tirelessly to keep liquid supplies flowing and aptly managed inventories to provide safe storage while demand was reduced. 2020 BASIC STATS In 2020, the bulk liquid storage sector generated £4.3 billion (€5.03 billion) in revenue, and planned investment over the next five years is estimated at more than £674 million.
