Port of Antwerp-Bruges Signs MoU with Namport
Together, the two port authorities aim to co-develop a new port site north of the existing Walvis Bay, Namibia, facilities, covering 1,300 hectares. This dedicated port area will serve as a hub for green industrial and logistical activities, storage, and bunkering operations of green fuels.
By embarking on this ambitious venture, Belgium and Namibia are aligning in vision and taking decisive actions to make a significant impact towards their green transition targets and strategies. Their mutual goal is to enable and derisk the hydrogen economy by developing the requisite common infrastructure in Walvis Bay.
