The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that Ukrainian defence forces struck fuel and lubricant storage tanks at the Yeysk oil terminal, Krasnodar Krai, Russia, resulting in a fire.
Yeysk oil terminal is situated in the Gulf of Taganrog, in the Sea of Azov, with its purpose being to receive, store and load petroleum products onto vessels. The General Staff claim that the port has a throughput capacity of around 6.8 million tonnes of cargo per year, and is supporting the Russian armed forces. It also confirmed that the extent of the damage is still being assessed.
