Petrolodex has begun operations at its facility in Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE), which will focus on internal domestic supply, rather than imports.
The facility includes a commercial trading desk and liquid terminal storage tanks, and sources gasoil, gasoline and fuel oils directly from UAE national oil companies including ADNOC, ENOC and SNOC. It will supply industrial end users, manufacturing plants, transport fleets, power stations and marine bunkering across the UAE.
Allan Buenafe, chief executive officer of Petrolodex, says: ‘The Emirates is building industrial capacity at remarkable speed, and the supply infrastructure serving it has to grow in step. Hamriyah is the first stage of a regional network designed to put certified product, physical storage and local accountability within reach of every industrial buyer in the Gulf. We are investing in terminals, in people and in standards, so that growth across this region is supplied from within it.’
