African Terminal & Logistics Services (ATLS) – a subsidiary of Hayel Saeed Anam (HAS) Group – is developing a petroleum terminal at Doraleh Multipurpose Port (DMP), Djibouti, with the aim to link storage facilities directly to the Ethiopia-Djbouti railway.
The terminal will be used to receive petroleum products, transfer them to tanks and store the products before they are dispatched by rail and road. The first phase – on track for June 2027 completion – will create 288,000m3 of storage capacity, which is then expected to increase to around 500,000m3 in phase 2, finishing at 750,000m3 in phase 3.
Reporting on Djiblive, ATLS says: ‘The project is designed to strengthen fuel security, improve supply chain resilience, enhance corridor efficiency and support long-term trade growth between Djibouti, Ethiopia and the wider East African region.’
