Norway and Switzerland have signed a deal to further explore carbon capture and storage (CCUS) and carbon dioxide removal (CDR). The agreed cooperation follows a meeting between the Norwegian minister of petroleum and energy, Terje Aasland, and the Swiss minister of the environment, transport, energy and communications, Simonetta Sommaruga.

Norway’s vast carbon capture potential will be helpful to get Switzerland to reach net-zero by 2050.
