VTTI Bio-energy Tilburg has received its first deliveries of feedstock, the company announced on LinkedIn. With the help of bacteria, heat, technology and automation, the team will turn organic residues into biogas, producing enough green gas to heat the equivalent of 3,000 homes in the Netherlands, produce electricity and heat for the process itself, and produce organic fertilizer pellets, every day. John Horrevorts, the general manager of VTTI Bio-energy Tilburg says: ‘Following an extended period of preparation, I am pleased to announce that VTTI Bio-energy Tilburg has started the filling of the digesters and will shortly begin supplying the first batch of green gas to the Tilburg gas grid. This marks a significant step towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly future!’
