Implico’s Connected Truck solution is now available on the SAP Store as part of SAP’s industry cloud portfolio for the oil, gas, and energy industry.

The Connected Truck solution establishes a direct link between truck driver and back office allowing easy trip planning and reconciliation for bulk deliveries. It gives all parties involved a comprehensive overview of the operation. Also, it facilitates a quick, aim-orientated, and purposeful exchange. The solution leverages the integration capabilities of SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) to integrate with SAP S/4HANA using SAP Integration Suite.

The solution’s benefits for daily business include smart trip execution with mobile support, elimination of information gaps, real-time process visibility, bi-directional communication between scheduler and driver, advanced fleet tracking and monitoring, full transparency of the delivery status and easy accessibility of load results, unload results, and trip event information.

‘In recent times, supply chains have become more compartmentalised than ever,’ says Volker Braun, managing director and CTO of Implico Group. ‘Consequently, product moves through many hands before it reaches its destination. To streamline their operations and make smart decisions, liquid bulk traders need maximum transparency, collaboration, and information flow within their partner networks. Connected Truck provides exactly that – comprehensive, accessible, and in real time.’

Implico’s Connected Truck and Connected Depot apps received SAP certification in June 2020 and Implico is a partner in the SAP PartnerEdge programme. Which provides the enablement tools, benefits, and support to facilitate building high-quality, disruptive applications focussed on specific business needs. Implico Group is collaborating with SAP to create offerings that meet specific secondary distribution industry requirements to provide customers with tools to help achieve positive business outcomes.

‘Complementing our portfolio, Connected Truck by Implico Group enables all-new forms of collaboration for secondary distribution,’ says Jean-Marc Delbos, director in the oil, gas, and energy industry business unit at SAP. ‘The solution is a prime example of how the collaboration between our organisations can deliver value for customers. We look forward to continued collaboration with Implico to create innovative cloud solutions and applications for energy leaders who want to drive cost-effective and sustainable growth in their industry.’
