PPG Industries’ protective and marine coatings business has launched the PPG one series – a collection of three individual coasting products developed to provide industrial-level protection in a one-component package.
The three products include:
– AMERCOAT ONE coating – a truly single-component epoxy with the corrosion resistance of a two-component epoxy
– PSX ONE coating – a single-component, isocyanate-free acrylic-siloxane coating that unites the performance, colour and finish quality of a high-durability urethane with the easy application of a single-component
– SIGMADUR ONE coating – this delivers the durability, colourfastness and gloss retention of a traditional two-component urethane in a one-component package.
These products eliminate the pot-life issues associated with two-component coatings. They can be reopened and reused as long as container lids are properly resealed after each application, which significantly reduces waste and other related costs.
Diane Kappas, PPG vice president, protective and marine coatings, Americas, says: ‘PPG ONE Series coatings use unique curing reactions, and PPG’s formulas make them durable, affordable and easy to apply.’
‘With their excellent colour and gloss stability and exceptional corrosion resistance, these coatings are not just designed for convenience. They also are engineered to offer world-class protection of assets in difficult environments and to provide a wide range of aesthetic options.’
