Protectoseal acquires Elmac Technologies

Safety and flame control products manufacturer the Protectoseal Company, has bought Elmac Technologies.

The acquisition is part of Protectoseal’s strategic objective to grow its international business through organic expansion and acquisition. Protectoseal and Elmac will continue to operate under their respective names.

Customers will gain access to a broader line up of industry leading products such as Elmac’s patent-protected flame arresters and FAB Valves, alongside Protectoseal’s vents, manways, and tank blanketing valves. The acquisition will shorten lead times through access to a broader network of establish global suppliers and a combined business and technology development teams with testing capabilities that enable customisation of all products.

There are also significant opportunities for the business as it looks to capitalise on the net zero opportunities by expanding the unique hydrogen flame arrester range.

Lew Bingham, managing director of Elmac Technologies adds that the deal strengthens Elmac’s product portfolio and ‘marks the next step in the delivery of the ambitious growth plans.’
