Centrica & Energy Capital Partners Complete Grain LNG Purchase

Grain LNG is now officially under the ownership of the consortium made up of Centrica and Energy Capital Partners, following the initial announcement in August.

Simon Culkin, managing director at Grain LNG comments: ‘It’s great to have secured ECP and Centrica as 50:50 investors in Grain LNG, both come with deep expertise and enthusiasm for the role Grain will play through the UK’s energy transition. We are all excited by the opportunities that running a fully standalone independent business presents, whilst remaining fully focused on delivering our customers energy. Safely and reliably to the UK.’

The company also posted on LinkedIn: ‘Despite the change in ownership our vision to safely deliver reliable results for our customers remains a constant. And as we begin this new journey, we are excited for the future opportunities that will follow, and the role LNG will play in the energy transition.’
