Chane has announced the appointment of Fabian Ziegler as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 22 September 2025. This leadership transition follows the decision of current CEO John Kraakman to step down after more than two decades of dedicated service.

Ziegler brings a wealth of international experience and a proven track record in the energy sector. After a successful career at Shell, where he held several key international executive roles, Ziegler stepped into the role of CEO at DCC Energy. In that position, he successfully contributed to the company’s growth in renewable energy. His strategic insight and leadership style align closely with Chane’s forward-looking ambitions.

‘I’m honoured to join Chane at such a pivotal moment,’ says Ziegler. ‘The company has built a strong and agile foundation, and I look forward to working with the team to deepen our customer focus and accelerate Chane’s strategic ambitions for expansion and forward-thinking solutions.’

‘This appointment represents a thoughtful step in Chane’s continued evolution,’ comments Henk Rottinghuis, chairman of the Supervisory Board. ‘Fabian’s experience and vision position him well to lead the company into its next chapter of progress and transformation. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to John for his outstanding leadership and lasting contributions.’

Under John Kraakman’s leadership, Chane has evolved into an agile and customer-centric company with a strong market presence in various European countries. To ensure continuity, Kraakman will remain closely involved in the coming months to support a smooth transition.
