Proton Ventures awarded contract by Port of Rotterdam

Green engineering and turnkey solutions, Proton Ventures has been awarded a feasibility study contract by Port of Rotterdam for the scoping and conceptual design of an ammonia export terminal in Oakajee, Western Australia. Port of Rotterdam is expecting to export 3 million tons of ammonia per year by 2030.

During this project Proton Ventures will demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of an integrated port terminal facility for ammonia storage and loading. This facility will be state-of-the-art for ammonia, employing proven technology in a new application for transfer and loading of ammonia onto marine vessels.

For this project, Proton Ventures as main contractor, works together with Intecsea and Bluewater. This innovative approach will accelerate the export of ammonia supporting Port of Rotterdam’s import targets.
