Six injured at Texas refinery

Firefighting crews in the USA have extinguished a fire, which occurred January 17 at Phillips 66’s 149,000-barrel-per-day joint-venture refinery in Borger, Texas. 

The company confirmed that six people have been treated for injuries. 

Local media reported the fire had occurred in the storage tank farm at the Borger complex, causing a state highway to close near the refinery. 

All workers at the refinery have been accounted for and the cause of the incident is being investigated, according to a company spokesperson.
