Nine people are still missing, and presumed dead, according to authorities in Washington state, USA, after a chemical tank ruptured at a paper mill. The likely death toll is now sitting at 11 people, making this one of the deadliest workplace accidents in the USA in recent decades.

Authorities said there was no hope of finding more survivors following the tank failure at the Nippon Dynawave Packaging Co. Officials say more than 500,000 gallons (1.9 million litres) of ‘white liquor’ was spilled from the tank.
