Uniper announces huge milestone

Energy company, Uniper has announced that the first independent gas was fed into the German gas grid from the Höegh Esperanza vessel on the morning of December 21. This is ahead of the initial predicted schedule.

This follows on from Uniper announcing the first floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) vessel had arrived in Wilhelmshaven on December 15. The arrival of the FSRU marked an important milestone for German gas.
