VTTI has announced an open season for Project Amplifhy, VTTI’s initiative to develop a European network of ammonia import terminals and ammonia crackers. The open season is to gauge interest and work towards capacity reservation and allocation for ammonia storage and ammonia cracking at VTTI’s terminals in Rotterdam and Antwerp.

VTTI’s offering of ammonia import and cracking facilities underscores its commitment to supporting sustainable energy solutions at two of Europe’s most critical energy hubs.

Guy Moeyens, CEO of VTTI, says: ‘Hydrogen is central to the energy transition, and the strategic location of our terminals in Rotterdam and Antwerp give us unparalleled potential to lead in this space. With the launch of this Open Season, we are taking a bold step towards creating a hydrogen hub that will drive Europe’s decarbonisation goals and empower a sustainable energy future.’
