A project with the world’s first on-land GST membrane full containment liquid natural gas (LNG) storage tank located in Hejian, north China’s Hebei province, has officially been delivered after 100 days of trial operation. The GST technology was developed by GTT.

The project secured natural gas needs for 800,000 local households during the winter of 2022, after entering trial operation in October last year.

The project will optimise the energy structure and environmental pollution issues of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and accelerate China’s goal of carbon emissions reduction.
