Tank Storage Magazine reports back from Houston, Texas
Landing in Houston, Texas, US, in June 2026, the buzz in the air was palpable. Surrounded by different languages – German, Dutch, Spanish – this truly international city was ready to welcome visitors from all around the world. Of course, this was all for the annual International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA) conference and trade show, from 15-17 June, when nothing else of note was happening.
Kicking off the event was the presentation of the ILTA’s safety excellence awards, celebrating terminal members across North America with impeccable safety standards and records. This theme continued through the conference, with sessions on advocacy, environmental and operational safety, and the importance of leadership and mental health in the safety conversation.
