In a management buyout, Eric Hjalmarsson and Thoman Bryan have jointly acquired TSG Shortsea AB and TSG Terminal UK from owners ThorSvecon Group through HOI Holding; operating under the new name Thor Shortsea & Terminals (TST).
TST combines shortsea shipping, terminal operations including storage, warehousing and shortsea forwarding, connecting Sweden, the UK and wider European countries. Shipping services operate under the SUN brand.
Eric Hjalmarsson, CEO and co-owner, comments: ‘This acquisition gives us the opportunity to build on a business we know well and believe strongly in. Our strength lies in bringing vessels, equipment, terminal operations and logistics expertise together. We see significant opportunities to develop this offering further, broaden our customer base and continue to develop our product portfolio.’
