NOC launches crude oil flow measurement system at Sidra oil terminal

The National Oil Corporation of Libya held an inauguration ceremony for a new crude oil flow measurement system at the Sidra oil terminal, operated by Waha Oil Company. Representatives from the NOC’s General Department of Inspection and Measurement also attended the event.

The system includes two metering skids and four ultrasonic flowmeters that will deliver high accuracy and reliability for exported crude oil calculations, improving operational transparency.

The NOC states: ‘In this regard, the Chairman and members of the NOC’s Board of Directors extend their sincere congratulations to Waha Oil Company, the General Department of Inspection and Measurement, and all national personnel who contributed to completing this vital project in recognition of their ongoing efforts to develop Libya’s oil and gas sector infrastructure.’
