Air Liquide has opened its largest hydrogen refueling station in Japan, located in Mitomiya, Fukushima prefecture, marking a huge step in hydrogen mobility. This refuelling station is strategically located near a major logistics cluster and will enable the deployment of large fleets of delivery trucks. The station will be operational 24/7 and is equipped with two dispensers.

CJPT (Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Corporation), a joint venture involving Toyota Motor Corporation, Isuzu and Hino Trucks will deploy 60 FC hydrogen trucks in the coming months. This is a significant step towards promoting hydrogen fuel cell technology and fostering sustainable transportation in Japan.

In a LinkedIn post, Erwin Penfornis, Air Liquide’s Group VP H2 Energy World Business Line thanked the company’s partners, ITOCHU Corporation and Itochu ENEX where the station is hosted and thanked the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Fukushima Prefecture for their continuous support.
