German speciality pump manufacturer Almatec, part of Dover company PSG, has launched its new ADX Series stainless-steel air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps for industrial applications.

The new pumps meet the mass requirements of an oscillating pump and meet ATEX requirements. They have been designed to replace legacy Almatec CHEMICOR AD Series pumps. Almatec says that the design enhancements mean that they are safer and easier to clean and maintain. The new pumps include standard ADX features, including easy start-up, rotating suction and discharge ports, gentle displacement, dry-running and self-priming operation, no diaphragm discs, and Almatec’s patented maintenance-free PERSWING P air control system.

They are available with DIN and ANSI flange options and connection options including sanitary threads and open butt welding, as well as with Almatec monitoring systems such as stroke counting, diaphragm sensor and barrier chamber system.

ADX pumps’ wetted parts are made from stainless steel while the non-wetted parts are available in three different plastic materials, allowing them to accommodate various applications and temperatures. The ADX Series is currently available in in ADX20 (3/4”) and ADX25 (1”) sizes, with further sizes under development.
