Spanish-based petroleum and storage company CLH has successfully renewed its quality, environmental, health and safety, and information security certification following auditing by the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR).

Since the previous audit, CLH Group has adapted from the OSHAS 18001 to the stricter ISO 45001 health and safety standard. The company passed the audit for ISO 45001, along with audits for the ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system, ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system, and ISO 27001 certification for information security.

The company says that the annual audits, carried out over the past few months, were more challenging than usual due to the COVID-19 lockdown and the state of emergency declared, which meant that most employees were working remotely. AENOR’s audits confirm that the correct management systems are in place to comply with the requirements of the appropriate standards.

Complying with ISO 9001 shows that CLH Group’s quality management system allows it to monitor and improve its performance for maximum efficiency, product excellence and customer service optimisation. ISO 14001 shows that its environmental management system allows suitable control of the environmental impact of its operations and services through prevention, reduction or elimination, while ISO 27001 shows its commitment to information security and the appropriate protection of information.
