Herambiente Spa’s subsidiary, ACR Spa, has acquired the Gerotto EAR business unit from Gerotto Federico Srl. The transaction will take effect from 1 July and is subject to certain conditions.

Gerotto EAR specialises in operations within confined spaces and areas at risk of explosion, using advanced technologies such as suction excavators and robots. The acquisition includes 21 specialised personnel and operational equipment, bringing ACR’s workforce to over 600 employees.

The agreement also calls for the strengthening of the commercial partnership between ACR and Gerotto Federico, which will continue to supply technological machinery to support activities in the petrochemical, water treatment, and cement sectors, as well as post-disaster remediation projects.

According to ACR CEO Alberto Reggiani, the deal integrates strategic expertise and strengthens the company’s offering in complex supply chains. Alessandro Gerotto, CEO of Gerotto Federico, stated that the agreement allows the company to focus on the development of robotic solutions, while also reinforcing its longstanding collaboration with ACR.
