The Engineering Equipment and Materials Users Association (EEMUA) has released a new guide, EEMUA 245 – UK Pressure Equipment – A guide to pressure system installation where site assembly is required under the control of the end user.’
The guide provides practical advice on how legal compliance should be demonstrated where on-site manufacture and assembly of pressure equipment are undertaken under the direct control of the intended user of the equipment. EEMUA developed the guide in collaboration with the Pressure Equipment Consultation Forum (PECF) and the Safety Assessment Federation (SAFed), in consultation with Lloyd’s Register and other stakeholders within the pressure equipment industry. It includes technical advice from the Health and Safety Executive in Great Britain.
EEMUA 245 primarily relates to pressure systems containing a relevant fluid as defined under the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR). It is aimed at designers, purchasers, installation contractors, users and other parties to help them to understand the processes.
EEMUA 245 is free to download from the EEMUA Shop.
