German oil and gas software consultancy firm Implico Group and Brazilian software developer Aquarius Software have launched a partnership to collaborate on automation and digitalisation products for the oil and gas industry in Latin America.
The partners say they will introduce their innovative technologies, at their customers’ sites and make supply chains fit for the future. Implico says that it tries to work with strong local partners, like Aquarius, where possible, and that Latin America is an important oil and gas centre, both now and in the future. Implico says it is particularly keen to introduce its next-generation terminal management system OpenTAS to Latin America’s large tank storage sector.
By combining their experience, the companies say they will be able to introduce the benefits of digitalisation, including streamlined processes, increased transparency, better collaboration and improved safety. Thomas Roller, head of sales and marketing at Implico Group says that the first implementation project is already underway.
‘Aquarius Software has a thorough understanding of the downstream industry plus a wide-spread network, a spotless reputation and a forward-looking mindset,’ he says, adding that the companies share similar values.
Marcia Campos, executive director and partner at Aquarius Software, adds: ‘We always look for the best solution for our customers. Implico is recognised in this market with awarded solutions and numerous customers worldwide. There is a natural synergy between the companies, which have a strong focus on digital transformation and clear orientation towards their customers’ businesses. I am sure that this partnership will lead to more project opportunities for both companies as well as strong benefits for our customers.
