Environmental technology firm Tecam has achieved ISO 14001 certification for environmental management.

ISO 14001 is a voluntary international standard specifying the requirements for an environmental management system which allow a company to improve its environmental performance, comply with regulations and achieve environmental objectives. Tecam says that the accreditation is in line with its core aim of minimising its environmental impact on industrial production, and is in line with UN sustainable development objectives.

Tecam says that its sustainable development ambitions are now present in all areas of the business, including internal regulations, use of resources, waste management, facilities, and environmental impact assessments.

Bernat Sala, CEO of Tecam, says that the company will continue to comply with environmental requirements in the future and adds: ‘This certificate recognises Tecam’s commitment to sustainability in the way it does business.’

Earlier in this year, Tecam won the 2020 Tank Storage Award for Environmental Performance.
