Gasunie’s Supervisory Board has appointed Jan Boekelman interim CFO with effect from 11 February 2025.

Boekelman, who was previously CFO at Energie Beheer Nederland (EBN) and development organisation SNV, will be taking over from Janneke Hermes, who is joining Koninklijke Wagenborg after 23 years at Gasunie. Boekelman will start working at Gasunie with immediate effect, so that he and Hermes can together ensure a thorough handover as well as continuity.

Boekelman studied econometrics at the University of Amsterdam, and completed advanced management programmes at the London Business School, Insead and Wharton. He started his career at Shell, where he spent 15 years in various domestic and international financial roles. He was then Planning and Control director for 7 years at Nuon (now Vattenfall), before being appointed CFO and HR Chief at development organisation SNV. From 2011 to 2019, he was CFO at Energie Beheer Nederland (EBN). Boekelman currently holds various supervisory board roles and works as an interim Executive Board member.
