A delegation of key stakeholders from Poland’s biomethane sector, led by the Polish Biomethane Organization, visited the VIDA bioenergy plant in Tilburg, Netherlands, to gain key insights into the latest advancements in biomethane production.
The visit focused on four key areas:
- Cutting-edge technologies driving the biomethane industry
- Best practices in plant management and operational excellence
- Approaches to minimising environmental impact while maximising efficiency and sustainability
- The role of local communities and the benefits of renewable energy production
VIDA Bioenergy, one of Europe’s leading biomethane producers, is committed to advancing the green transition across the continent.
With an ambitious vision for the region, VIDA bioenergy Poland aims to establish multiple facilities across the country, focused on biomethane production and renewable fertilizer generation from biological waste. This represents a major step in supporting Poland’s energy transition and climate goals.
Lars Boetje, CEO of VIDA bioenergy, comments: ‘Poland presents one of the highest biomethane production potentials in Europe, with a solid base of available feedstock, well-developed infrastructure, and the country’s full integration into the EU single market. Currently, our team is working on multiple locations across Poland, and events like today help inform local Polish communities and key partners about the high-quality standards we uphold when developing and operating plants. Together, we can address the challenges of the green transition and turn this vision into a reality.’
