VTTI has launched a newly-formed subsidiary, VIDA bioenergy, dedicated to transforming biomass into renewable energy, the company announced on LinkedIn.

VIDA bioenergy is 100% owned by VTTI but will operate independently under the leadership of CEO, Lars Boetje. This will allow the company to move with flexibility and speed to meet the specific needs of the markets it serves. The company is committed to providing clean energy products such as biomethane, biogenic CO2, and organic fertilizer, supporting the decarbonisation of buildings, heavy transport, and industrial heat.

‘VIDA bioenergy represents a significant step forward in our commitment to sustainability and innovation,’ says Guy Moeyens, CEO of VTTI. ‘By focusing on renewable natural gas (RNG), we are not only addressing the urgent need for cleaner energy but also creating new opportunities for growth and job creation in the bioenergy sector.’
