Stanlow Terminals has completed installation of two new mooring dolphins at its Tranmere, UK site. The installation is part of a larger investment to its marine infrastructure that has a budget of over £2 million (€2.3 million).
Mooring dolphins keep vessels safely moored in tidal ranges of up to 10 metres, which keeps reliable operations flowing at the terminal.
In its press release, Stanlow Terminals says: ‘This is the latest phase of a long-term programme, with two further replacements planned each year until all mooring dolphins have been renewed. The investment will help future proof the terminal for at least the next 25 years.’
