Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases (Nikkiso CE&IG) Group has been contracted by CS Gas North to provide 16 submerged motor pumps for German LNG Terminal in Brunsbüttel, Germany.
Nikkiso CE&IG will provide the high-pressure, low-pressure and ship-loading pumps for the LNG, bio-LNG and synthetic natural gas (syngas) terminal project, which includes two 165,000 m3 LNG tanks that, once operational in 2027, will send 10 billion m3 of gas to Germany’s national grid annually.
Ole Skatka-Jensen, regional vice-president for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Nikkiso CE&IG, comments: ‘The German LNG Terminal is a crucial part of Germany’s energy future thanks to the supply of LNG and green gases, as well as preparing for the future hydrogen economy… Both Nikkiso CE&IG’s presence and our contribution to major energy transition projects in Europe continues to grow. We have expertise in providing equipment and servicing support for not just LNG but also hydrogen and ammonia, and we are proud to be part of such an important project for Germany and Europe’s move to these lower-carbon fuels.’
