Dialog to expand petroleum storage in Malaysia

Dialog Group Berhad will expand its petroleum and petrochemical products storage capacity at its terminals in Tanjung Langsat, Johor Darul Ta’zim, Malaysia, by an additional 100,000m3.

Dialog Terminals Langsat (3) (DTL3) is wholly owned by Dialog and had an initial storage capacity of around 24,000m3. In September 2026, DTL3 added an additional 150,000m3 of renewable and petroleum-based products, including sustainable aviation fuel and hydrotreated vegetable oils. DTL3 sits alongside DTL1 and DTL2 at the site, with all three terminals having a combined capacity of 1 million m3.

The engineering, procurement and construction of the next phase of DTL3 will be undertaken by Dialog, and is expected to be completed by mid-2029.

According to its press release, Dialog states: ‘Against the backdrop of growing energy demand in Asia, Dialog continues to expand its terminal operations to cater for such growth opportunities while complementing its existing storage of petroleum and petrochemical products. Terminals play a pivotal role in the transport and logistics of energy market, facilitating the storage and handling of petroleum and petrochemicals-related products, while retaining their traditional role as the gateway to energy trading. Potential users include biofuel production companies, energy trading houses, multinational energy companies and others.’
