Venture Global’s second LNG export project, Plaquemines LNG, commenced commercial operations on 31 October – 53 months from final investment decision.
Located in Louisiana, US, alongside Venture Global’s other projects Calcasieu Pass and CP2 LNG, Plaquemines LNG’s first long-term sales and purchase cargo was lifted by Shell on 1 November. Among its infrastructure, the site includes four 200,000m3 full containment LNG storage tanks
