Emco Wheaton’s marine loading arms installed at NuStar’s Corpus Christi terminal were used to transfer the first US export of crude to an ocean tanker.
The first shipment of crude oil in 40 years was transferred and loaded on Greek oil tanker Theo T on December 31, 2015 at NuStar Energy’s North Beach terminal at the Port of Corpus Christi using three Emco Wheaton marine loading arms.
In 2014, the terminal experienced several investments, including a new metering system, vapour control system and dock structure.
Michael O’Neil, Emco’s VP says: ‘It is a great achievement for Emco Wheaton marine loading arms to play such an important role in US history and we are proud to be a part.’
