BWC Terminals‘ board has elected Georganne Hodges as its next chair, effective July 1, 2025. Hodges has served as a member of BWC Terminals’ board since 2022 and will succeed Randy Daniels, who is retiring from the board at the end of his term June 30, 2025.

Hodges has more than 35 years of experience providing financial, commercial, and operational leadership and governance across the energy value chain. She is a former executive vice president of supply, trading, and logistics for Motiva Enterprises, where she was responsible for overseeing the safe operation and optimization of the company’s midstream assets and integrated supply and trading business. Hodges currently serves as a board member for PBF Energy and Natural Gas Services Group, in addition to BWC Terminals.

‘Assuming the role of chair is an incredible honour,’ Hodges says. ‘BWC Terminals is an innovative leader in the industry, with a team that is deeply committed to providing the highest level of stewardship for its customers’ products. Like BWC’s leadership team, we have a strong board with diverse skill sets that is excited to support the company’s mission and future growth. I am excited to be part of it.’

‘Georganne’s understanding of our business and her strategic insights are valuable assets to BWC Terminals, making her a highly effective chair,’ adds Adam Smith, president and CEO of BWC Terminals. ‘We appreciate her dedication and look forward to our continued collaboration. We are also grateful for Randy’s experience and leadership. Thank you, Randy, for guiding BWC Terminals and helping us grow. We wish you the very best in your future endeavours.’

Also, recently appointed to the board are two new members, Sharon Beemer and John Janes.

Beemer is an experienced executive with a strong background in the energy sector, focusing on managing profit and loss operations, optimizing assets, and driving business growth. With more than 30 years of experience in global and Fortune 500 companies, she has shown exceptional leadership in areas such as energy supply, marketing, trading, and logistics. Beemer is a former senior vice president and managing director of the Southern Region Americas for Vopak and has a proven track record of achieving strong financial results and leading strategic initiatives, including significant divestitures and expansion of facilities. In addition to BWC Terminals, she is a member of the Executive Advisory Council – Port of Houston Partner in Maritime Education (PHPME) and serves as board member for Rice University Business Partners Board.

John Janes served as the president and chief executive officer of Associated Asphalt, bringing over 30 years of experience in energy markets. He has a proven track record with mergers and acquisitions, supply procurement, developing customer-oriented solutions, managing storage and logistics infrastructure, and leading organizations. John is a former chair of the Asphalt Institute. Before joining Associated Asphalt, he held senior management positions with Koch Materials, a subsidiary of Koch Industries.
